Step behind the counter and open up shop! In this camp, children will discover what it was like to run a general store in the past. Through pretend play, sorting and “selling” goods, and hands-on exploration of real items from history, kids will learn about bartering, community, and the importance of stores in pioneer towns. Whether they’re stocking shelves or ringing up “customers,” little shopkeepers will get a taste of business from days gone by.
